I love a hint of spiciness in my perfume, and apparently so does the TikTok community. According to fragrance brand Luxoni Beauty, which conducted a deep-dive into fall fragrance trends on the app, data revealed nearly a million searches for pink pepper perfume. One of the biggest emerging trends in the category this season, the pink pepper note has experienced a 148-percent increase in searches this fall. “Pink peppercorn offers a vibrant, spicy and slightly fruity scent that feels modern and fresh,” says Adriana Medina, vice president perfumer at Givaudan. “It appeals to those seeking warmth and uniqueness, and feels future-facing in fragrances.”

Some fragrances utilize pink pepper as a top note, while others include it in the heart of the composition. “As a top note, it’s more vibrant and spicy, giving fragrances a little bit of a pop,” says Medina. “As a mid note, it mellows and adds depth, balancing the fragrance.” Pink peppercorn can be sourced from different countries, including Brazil, Peru and Madagascar, among others, Medina explains. “Each region gives the ingredient a slightly different olfactive profile.” Here, our favorite pink pepper perfumes—a mix of both old and new—to nail the trend.
