I purchased my first weighted blanket a few weeks ago. It is a 15 pound weight blanket. I love it so much and I decided to get a cover for it because I don’t really want to wash this very often. A cover would make perfect. I would just wash the cover for the most part.
I purchased this and it’s a very lightweight cover just almost like a sheet that covers the blanket. Because the blanket is weighted this was pretty difficult to put on. I did it by myself, but if you have somebody to help you, it would make a difference. I had to lay it on the floor and unzip it then put it on the edges and it slowly Jimmy it up. once I got the majority of it on, I was able to sit in a chair and get the rest on and zip it up.
On the plus side, because the blanket is weighted, it stays in the cover a lot better than traditional comforters in a duvet cover, which I hate. So once you get it on, it’s going to stay in the corners, very well.
It is actually cooling and makes the weighted comforter easier to make on the bed and closer to your body feels like a sheet if you don’t want to use a top sheet.
Extremely happy with the purchase and would buy it again once this one does show wear and tear.
